Vashon Island Field Trip Run

When: Sunday, November 2 at approximately 8:30 AM

How to Get There: Take the 7:35 AM Fauntleroy ferry in West Seattle. You may walk on, bike on, or drive on! If you are not driving on, please use Slack to coordinate a ride from the ferry to the starting point of the run in downtown Vashon. For drivers, WSDOT advises you are in line at the tollbooth at least 20 minutes in advance of the sailing. The ferry ride is approximately 20 minutes. After disembarking the ferry, please either drive or bike to Vashon Island Baking Company at 17506 Vashon Hwy SW, Vashon, WA 98070, where we will start and end our run. 

The run: The run is a nearby loop in the Island Center Forest on Vashon Island. The activity is measured at 6.89 miles to run to the forest and complete one loop from the bakery, so anyone is welcome to add on with additional loops. https://www.strava.com/routes/3407471138668873054

The after: Meet us back at Vashon Island Baking Company for post run treats! This is a popular bakery o on the island serving up pastries and coffee. We will not be providing the post run snacks, but we would love to have you join us for our post-run treats. 

Afterwards, runners will take the ferry home at whatever time suits their schedule best. The following are ferry departure times from Vashon to Fauntleroy:
