Youth Team Practices - Summer 2021

The Club Northwest Youth Team is for athletes ages 9-18 of all ability levels who are interested in practicing track and field during the summer and achieving their personal goals. Practices will be held Monday and Friday afternoons from 5:30 – 6:30 pm, with athletes encouraged to attend the Wednesday Club Northwest All-Comers Meets.  Practices start Monday, June 14, and end Friday, August 13.  Each member of the Youth Team will receive a free Club Northwest t-shirt and the opportunity to purchase a Club singlet at a reduced price.

Practices will be held at the Shorewood High School track, located at 17300 Freemont Ave N, Shoreline, WA. Parents are welcome to stay during practices and perhaps get in their own workout at the track, as long as they don’t interfere with the youth team workouts.

All participants must be members of Club Northwest (either a Youth Team member, individual/student member, or part of a family membership).

Per our permit with the Shoreline School District, CNW developed the following protocols to ensure safety during practices:

• 1.    All COVID-19 guidelines provided by the State of Washington and Snohomish County in effect during the summer of 2021 will be followed at all times.
• 2.    All parents, coaches and athletes must wear masks and maintain social distancing at all times.  The only exception is that athletes may remove their masks when undergoing strenuous activities.
• 3.    Athletes will be grouped in pods/groups of 10 or less, unless state/county rules change, when competing in strenuous tasks.
• 4.    Sanitizer will be present at every practice to sanitize equipment used during practices, and any other commonly used items.
• 5.    A log of athletes present at each practice will be kept and maintained until at least one month after all practices are completed (until September 14^th, 2021).

These protocols could change, depending on state/county/school districts requirements in effect during the summer.
