Field Trip Long Run, Nov 27th (Redmond Watershed)

Hi everyone,

Our next field trip long run will be on Sunday, November 27th at the Redmond Watershed! Join us as we celebrate the end of the regular season of cross country, fall marathons, and cheer on our national championships teams before they head to San Franscisco!

What are field trip long runs?

This is a social long run that happens every 4-8 weeks, where we meet at a special, scenic, soft-surface location somewhere outside Seattle. Post-run food and drink (read further for complete list) provided. We started this event during COVID with the goal of creating opportunities to socialize with each other and experience the amazing scenery we have around Western Washington.

Why should I come?

Because long runs are better together! Enjoy the energy of running with a big group, the scenery and soft surfaces, and FREE DOUGHNUTS! Bring your friends - friends-of-CNW members welcome!

For this trip, we will be making some loops within and outside the Redmond Watershed. Features include:

• Forested, soft-surface undulating trail (no huge elevation gain)
• Picnic tables for post-run food and activities
• Bathrooms and ample parking

Details:

• Run start time: 9am
• Route: Will be marked for us beforehand. Longest route will be 15mi, but you can always loop around a bit if needed. Can also make it as short as needed
• Transportation: Drive yourself, or there is some public transit available depending on starting point. Carpooling highly encouraged; check the post in our FB group or reply to this email if you need a ride.
• Food: Water, bananas, chocolate milk, Top Pot doughnuts, bagels+breakfast condiments, and a variety of other stuff.
• RSVP: Please RSVP to this event so we know how much food to get!
