Hi everyone,

Our first field trip long run of 2024 will be on Sunday, February 18th starting at Tolt-Macdonald Park! We are partnering with our local neighborhood trailgrazers, Cowgill, for this field trip long run! We hope you will join us to meet and run with some of the Cowgill runners. They dominate the trail running scene around here! In the spirit of this collaboration and our trail running compatriots, this run will feature some trail running and it will be fun!!

UPDATED DESCRIPTION!! PLEASE READ:

We will meet at Tolt-Macdonald Park in Carnation and run on the nearby trails as a group. Anyone who wants to add onto their run can hop onto the Snoqualmie Valley Trail for extra mileage.

What are field trip long runs?

This is a social long run that happens every 4-6 weeks, where we meet at a special, scenic, soft-surface spot somewhere outside Seattle. Post-run breakfast will be provided! We started this event after COVID with the goal of creating opportunities to socialize with each other and experience the amazing scenery we have around Western Washington.

Why should I come?

Because long runs are better together! It is scientifically proven! Enjoy the camaraderie of running with ya teammates, the scenery and soft surfaces, free doughnuts, and chocolate milk. Bring your friends and long run buddies and make it a party! (friends-of-CNW members welcome)

For this trip, we will be running on the trails surrounding Tolt-Macdonald Park and adding on at the SVT if desired. Features include:

  • Trails! Elevation! Expand your comfort zone!
  • Portapotties, plenty of parking
  • Free breakfast, coffee, pastries, snackies
