To provide reliable track access in the face of increasing conflict with school events, we've secured permits for Roosevelt Track for the rest of 2024. To cover the cost, starting mid-late July (TBA), athletes attending Tues or Weds nights will be required to pay a track use fee of $50/season.
Q&A:
Why are we paying dues for track access now? As you may have noticed, athletes have been experiencing more and more schedule conflicts with school events over the years, and recently the track has become increasingly "walled-off" to the public. Having permits guarantees our ability to stay on the track and not get kicked off or delay workouts. Track dues are necessary to fund the annual cost of ~$10,000 in permit fees.
Why $50? This number is our best estimate for what will cover the $10k annual cost with no extra profit. We will revisit the price every season to make sure CNW isn't profiting on these dues.
How do I pay the dues? Simply register for this event.
Who pays dues? All athletes attending Tuesday night or Wednesday night practices.
When do I have to pay? Athletes may use a 2-week trial period from when they first join workouts, then are required to pay.
What if I join midway through a season? Unfortunately, we currently don't offer prorating.
